UPDATE: The interview has been rescheduled for 5:30pm Saturday afternoon. We apologize for the delay, but  in the meantime you can whet your appetite with these fantastic samples.

Ever get the feeling you don’t know enough rad women? I mean, we’re tight with ScarJo, but this isn’t about us. It’s about you. But you know what we’re talking about with the ladies, right? Consider this your chance to place another badass broad on your friends list.

If you put Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom, Beethoven and Chopin in a room and they produced two offspring and then the offspring had an offspring, that last offspring would be Shenandoah Davis. Confused? Here’s the short version: this lady is incredible. Classically trained and folk inclined, Davis takes the girl-on-a-piano role to a whole new level.

Catch her (and see about that friend request) Saturday, September 24 at The Blue Fugue. Doors at 8, music at 9, jaws on the floor at 9:01.

P.S. We’ll have her in our bangin’ new studio tomorrow at 3 p.m. for an interview. Listen in and stock up on some potential conversation starters!

  1. This is great music for listening to while stuck in an office on a Saturday morning in cold St. Paul, MN. I'm 68 years old; a police, security officer and Private Detective Instructor and love the kind of music young people are listening to on KCOU. The DJ is pretty cool too.

    Thanks, Mike Melloy
