Incoming MSA President Tim Noce is caging his live tiger idea for home football games.
Noce said in a press release he doesn’t think the university should fund the tiger and its habitat, estimated to cost $13 million He also says he’s not going to pursue the plan during his time in office.
Noce is now saying he’s forming a committee to target wealthy alumni, who could support the live tiger plan instead.
Noce, who first announced this change of course on KCOU’s NewsHour on Sunday, says the issue has been blown out of proportion, and that he never intended to abuse or neglect animals.
