Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated album DAMN. surpassed all that was expected of him. DNA. is full of intense bars that empower black people to embrace their blackness and their ability to succeed. Lamar has always been at the forefront of revolution and this album was another aspect of that. DNA. is a very uplifting song with a great beat that you can turn up to or vibe in the car. “I got loyalty, got royalty inside my DNA” is one of my favorite lines in the song because it transcends so much power and energy. Lamar has a way of making you feel like you’re the best in the world. No matter what pictures they paint against black people and minorities he is always there to help you remember you have royalty inside your DNA.
