The national team rolled over the American team 27-10 on Saturday.
Fresno State’s Jake Haener led the charge in the win, going 12-19 and 145 yards with a touchdown.
Haener’s best play came as he lobbed a 44 yard touchdown to Stanford’s Michael Wilson to set the score at 27-10.
As well as the offense played, the defense arguably played better.
The only touchdown scored by the American team was a pick six thrown by Malik Cunningham to Anthony Johnson Jr, who was wearing the jersey of Devin Chandler, a player killed last November in the UVA shooting that claimed three lives.
The game was sealed as Shepherd’s Tyson Bagent threw an interception to Mobile Native Maryland corner Jakorian Bennett with under a minute left in the game to allow Haener to kneel out a 17 point victory.
