Radiohead is one of those bands that is seemingly hard to forget about it. Whether it’s because you can never seem to get the song “Creep” out of your head, or because Thom Yorke just continues to astound you with his musical brilliance, it’s safe to say that Radiohead isn’t over the hill in the industry quite yet. In 2012, Pitchfork People’s list confirmed that Radiohead’s OK Computer album was single handedly still their favorite. Runner up No. 2 album chosen by audiences was Kid A.
OK Computer was the first self-released album by the band back 1997. This experimental album has continuously been named the greatest of the past quarter century by music fans around the globe, and still leaves its mark today. It contains singles such as Paranoid Android and Karma Police, which fended off albums by Oasis and Nirvana topping off the list of greats. Q‘s editor in chief Paul Rees states: “In the 13 years since its release, OK Computer’s appeal to Q and its readers has grown exponentially.” Radiohead is one of the leading influential bands of the century in my opinion, and their passion with their music continues to astound fans over 20 years later.
