Do you have an unconditional love for British culture that can only be fulfilled by traveling to the mother country itself, yet you lack the means to actually get there? Well we can’t help you. But in the meantime, your next best option may be listening to Anglophiles Anonymous on Tuesdays from 8-10pm on KCOU.

Back in 2011, Kyle McMahan and his then co-host bonded over a mutual adoration for everything British, and the two decided that the best outlet for this would be a show featuring solely British artists. Thus “Anglophiles Anonymous” was born into KCOU. Kyle now caresses the airwaves as a solo DJ, utilizing his vast knowledge of British music and culture to bring listeners the ultimate Anglo-Experience. During his two hour time slot, you’ll hear everything from The Beatles, to Siouxsie and the Banshees, to SOPHIE.

Kyle will sometimes elect a theme for the show in order to sort through his catalog of British music and spin the show in some groovy different ways – although usually he sticks to the most recent releases from across the pond.

So close your eyes, picture yourself walking down Oxford Street, and enjoy the mental trip to the UK that Kyle is more than happy to guide you through.
