Mizzou NFL Pro Day Results

Mizzou football held its NFL pro day Wednesday. Ten former Mizzou players (all seniors) participated: Andrew Baggett, Evan Boehm, Kentrell Brothers, Kenya Dennis, Clayton Echard, Russell Hansbrough, Tyler Hunt, Wesley Leftwich, Connor McGovern and Ian Simon. A total of 32 scouts were in attendance, multiple from the same team, including the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, four offensive line coaches (Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots) were present.
Here are some of the top results and notes from the day’s action:
Top Bench press results (225 LBs):
Leftwich 22 Reps
Echard: 20 Reps
Brothers: 19 Reps
 
Top vertical jumps:
Leftwich: 36.5”
Dennis: 36”
Hunt: 34.5”
 
Top broad jumps:
Dennis: 10’5”
Leftwich: 10’5”
Hunt: 10’
 
Top 40-yard dash times (per MU strength & conditioning staff):
Hansbrough: 4.38 seconds
Dennis: 4.48 seconds
Simon: 4.64 seconds
 
Other notes:

  • Top interior OL prospects McGovern and Boehm elected not to participate in most of the drills. Both only worked out in specific position drills. Members of the Seahawks, Bengals, Colts and Patriots coaching staffs extensively worked them out.
  • LB Kentrell Brothers (projected 2nd-3rd round pick) posted very strong numbers on the day. He improved his combine 28” vertical jump to 31.5” Wednesday. More importantly, he improved his combine 4.89 40-yard dash time to 4.72 seconds.
  • McGovern, Boehm, Brothers, Dennis, Simon and Hansbrough all mentioned they have been in contact with NFL teams throughout the draft process.
