Space Captain – Blue (BETRAYAL)

By Mollie Harrison

Off the indie-pop band from Brooklyn’s eagerly awaited first album, “Blue” gives us just a glimpse into the themes of love and nostalgia woven throughout “All Flowers in Time” amid hints of bitterness and betrayal. The steady guitar hook pushes the song forward while Maralisa Simmons-Cooks’ dreamy melody floats above, seemingly looking for a place to land. As the band has grown together, their musical style has continued to transform, expanding their accessibility to audiences of all tastes. This track is certainly no exception.
