Some of you have probably already peaced out for Thanksgiving break. If you’re still around, here are some great shows happening in Columbia this weekend:

FRIDAY 11/21

  • “No Trad November” @ Mojo’s. 8:30pm: Featuring Acoustics Anonymous, The Woodsmiths, Havana Honeys, and Grandma’s Soup. Get there early for happy hour from 5-7pm with Spontaneous Serendipity.
  • LCD Soundsystem vs. Daft Punk: A Dance Party Tribute @ The Blue Note. 10pm: A night completely devoted to the music of LCD Soundsystem and Daft Punk starring one of Columbia’s finest DJs Jen Ha. Free!
  • Fractures / Tok / Ladder to Nowhere @ The Bridge. 8pm.

SATURDAY 11/22

  • Ruth Acuff’s Harp Unveiling & EP Release Party @ The Bridge. 3pm: Join Ruth for an enchanted afternoon celebrating the release of her new 3 song EP, “To The Moon”, (which is dedicated to our dearly departed and those who miss them) and to be among the first to see and hear her new pedal harp! Accompanied by Jeff Mueller on upright bass and vocals, Mary Leibovich on vocals and percussion, and other special guests.
  • Shaggy @ The Blue Note. 9pm: Maybe this will be the night where Shaggy finally admits that it WAS him. You can’t miss that.
  • Pageant / Hannah Rainey / Robbie + Jacob @ Cafe Berlin. 9pm: Some v cool acoustic & folk pop Como bands.

SUNDAY 11/23

  • Not too much happening on Sunday — I’d recommend watching some Thanksgiving reruns of Friends to get into the holiday spirit. TGITB
