- The Urban Pioneers @ Rose: 9pm. Mix one part Texas fiddle and one part Tennessee banjo, add doghouse bass and a splash of guitar and you have a delicious cocktail for your ears known as the Urban Pioneers. Get there early to catch Sami Bowles of Sunshine Mama’s and Jason Surratt of Moonshine Sorrow.

- Cold Mountain / Conductor / Nevada Greene @ Eastside Tavern: 8pm. Cold Blue Mountain is a Chico, CA-based five piece combining equal parts doom, sludge, anthemic post-metal, beards, cheap beer and bad jokes for a crushing, pretense-free sound. They’re playing at Eastside along with some local Como weirdos, Conductor and Nevada Greene.
- North Village Soul Club @ Rose: 8pm. Introducing Columbia’s new funk & soul dance party featuring DJ Superwolf dropping the dirtiest, funkiest rare funk and soul grooves that’ll get your booty shaking. Free!

- Christopher the Conquered / Madeline Carl / Cody Mitchell @ Cafe Berlin: 9pm. Des Moines, Iowa’s Christopher the Conquered (Chris Ford) has been sitting behind the keys and saying what he can say since he released his debut album in 2007. He’ll be playing at Cafe Berlin with local folkies Madeline Carl and Cody Mitchell.
- Martin Sexton @ Rose: 8pm. Haunting and masterful, Martin Sexton is one of the most beloved and talked about performers of the “new folk” revival. With opener Dan Hubbard.
- The Howlin’ Brothers @ The Bridge: 9pm. Old-time country blues, bluegrass heartache & soul, and it’s their first time coming through Columbia.
- Ruth Acuff & Merry Ellen Kirk @ Broadway Brewery: 7pm. An evening of lovely music at the Brewery.
- MU Theatre presents The Whipping Man @ Rhynsburger Theater: 7:30pm. As the Civil War ends, awounded Confederate soldier returns to find his plantation home in ruins, occupied by two of his family’s former slaves. Bound by history and the Jewish faith they share, the three men are forced to confront the changing social order as deeply buried secrets are revealed that could cost each of them their freedom.

- The Woodsmith’s CD Release @ Rose: 9:30pm. Carving sounds for your eardrums with a rotating circle of friends and several bottles of alchohol, come celebrate The Woodsmith’s latest release.
- Mouth with special guest Echo Base Quartet @ The Bridge: 9pm. Bridging the divide between jazz, rock, and funk and the growing dance music movement, Lawrence, Kansas’ electro-jam four-piece, Mouth, is poised to take the live electronic scene by storm.

- 2015 MU Vagina Monologues @ Missouri Theatre: shows at 2pm and 7pm. Come see a cast of dynamic and diverse women perform Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” as we reveal raw and candid experiences and raise awareness about violence against women around the world.
