Thurdays midnight-2am (Wednesday nights)
The main purpose of Damn Good Jamz is to bring the great genre of old school and current hip-hop and R&B to Mizzou while also helping organizations promote their events. Our focus is on playing hip-hop and R&B for all ages because that is a genre of music that we feel is underrepresented in Columbia. Also, we want to help Black organizations promote themselves to a more diverse crowd to make their events more successful. Our slogan is “Help Us Help You!” Basically, that means we are helping the organizations by letting them promote on-air and they are helping us by having family and friends tune in to the show! We really think this show is beneficial to Columbia because it focuses on a genre that is not played very much. Rock, pop and some country are heavily portrayed while the soul and love in R&B and hip-hop is forgotten.
