Frank Ocean- Lens (MELLOW)

Frank Ocean’s latest track “Lens” stays true to what Ocean is all about, being as raw and genuine in his music as he can possibly be. It is no secret that Ocean has struggled with coming to terms with his sexuality since he earned his place in the spotlight, and that is often the inspiration behind his music. “Lens” is definitely not a stand out track for Ocean, especially following the releases of “Chanel” and “Biking”, two tracks that feature some of Ocean’s best lyrics yet. The idea for “Lens” is there, but it a little short due to the excessive use of auto-tune and unmemorable vocal lines. Despite the normality of the track, it is still worth giving it a listen because there is just something about Frank Ocean that never disappoints.
