On Mar. 20, KCOU hosted the 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Showcase at The Shack.  The Showcase was for artists to come out show of their skills.  Trent McRae and Elorm Nutakor hosted the show while Matt Luke disc jockeyed.  Artists DNA, Jay Alzier, Capitol Jay, Yung CZ, Jay Jones, MC Crae, Sam Maxfield, and Joseph X all came out to perform.  In the end, the audience chose Capitol Jay as the winning artist.  Capitol Jay talked about performing tonight and his where his passion for music stems from.

Throughout the night, there were technical issues that caused some trouble that didn’t go unnoticed.  Trent McRae, who was also in charge of planning the show, discussed these glitches.  McRae also discussed the artists and the turnout and purpose of the night overall.
