Coach Barry Odom addressed the media yesterday coming off of last week’s high scoring affair against Missouri State coming out on top 72-43.

A big area of concern for the Tigers was their defense, giving up 35 points in the first half as well as 492 total yards. Odom addressed this at the presser by saying, “It’s my job to get us ready moving forward. I didn’t do that last week. We have to look ahead to this week”.

This week being a South Carolina team fresh off of a win against NC State. An area of focus for South Carolina is to quell the scorching offense behind the arm of Junior QB Drew Lock.

Last week against Missouri State, Lock broke two records, throwing for 521 yards to go along with another record, 7 TD’s in one game. “I think he made a big jump. That has to continue. I expect him to continue to move in the right direction.” Coach Odom had to say about his Quarterback Phenom.

Key DL veteran AJ Logan has been suspended for 6 games in his senior campaign for academic violations according to the NCAA. Logan has been compliant with the investigators and Coach Odom is very proud of the way he’s conducted himself throughout the process. “You watch him practice & you wouldn’t know that he won’t play that [next] week. He’s handling it very well”.
