Portugal. The Man – Feel It Still (FUNKY)

On top of a heavy spring/summer touring schedule, Portugal. The Man brings us another high-energy track “Feel It Still.” After mounting anticipation from fans following 2013’s Evil Friends, PTM announced that they will start recording their new project, reportedly titled Gloomin’ + Doomin. After a more electro-savy hypnotic single release with “Noise Pollution,” PTM returns to a more guitar-centric bounce a la Evil Friends or The Majestic Majesty. This is exactly the track you want to be hearing in your car on a nice day with the windows down. This track oozes an upbeat jaunt on top of a politically charged message of apathetic rebellion (“Ooh, I’m a rebel just for kicks now/ I’ve been feeling it since 1986 now”). Make sure to check out their interactive music video filled to the brim with Easter eggs and hidden messages. It’s safe to say that new PTM music is on its way, and this single is further reassurance that it will be the quality we come to expect from the Alaska-based rockers.
