Real Estate – Stained Glass (FUN)

“Stained Glass” is the second single released ahead of Real Estate’s fourth studio album and first in three years, In Mind. The light, airy guitar riff is nothing new for Real Estate fans, but there’s a layer of syncopated complexity that Martin Courtney & Co. have seemed to perfect since the departure of founding guitarist Matt Mondanile, who left to further pursue his other band, Ducktails. Before officially releasing “Stained Glass,” Real Estate posted the sheet music on several social media platforms and encouraged fans to submit their own versions of what they expected the song to sound like. This unique, fun way of releasing music is just a testament to the band’s good-natured feel as well as the summertime vibe they never fail to emit.
