From the very first track promising something that “Ain’t Been Done,” powerhouse artist Jessie J’s sophomore album aptly titled Sweet Talker delivers. If you want anything from a base heavy beat melded with bold vocals to blast with the windows down to a saccharine piano ballad delicately paired with intricate lyrics dipped in an emotional falsetto – this record will check all of your boxes. Jessie isn’t afraid to bring a little sex appeal to the table, mixing her brilliant genre hopping tone with music both passionate and vulnerable. With bouncy radio ready tracks like “Bang Bang” boasting chart toppers Arianna Grande and Nicki Minaj as well as floor shaking “Burnin’ Up,” enlisting rapper 2 Chains, the young London born artist makes sure you remember her name. Not afraid of delving into more expressive heart-on-your-sleeve tracks Jessie J lays it all on down with “Personal” and “Masterpiece.” Most well known for her chart topping singles “Price Tag” and “Domino,” Jessie has already made a name for herself. But with Sweet Talker, she makes sure she staying in that spotlight. It would be no surprise if she manages to sweet talk her way right to the top with this one.
