Jess Jacobs stars in and produces the new indie film “If You See Something,” directed by Oday Rasheed and written by Jacobs and Avram Ludwig. The film follows the story of Ali, a doctor (played by Adam Bakri), and Katie, a gallerist (played by Jess Jacobs), who are in a relationship as Ali, an Iraqi immigrant, seeks political asylum in the United States.
Listed as a thriller, the story begins with Ali and Katie building a new life together in New York. When a crisis strikes in the midst of Ali’s asylum process, they are forced to navigate the legal, personal and emotional challenges that follow.
The film had its world premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival in October 2024.
The cast also includes Tarek Bishara, Lucy Owen, Hadi Tabbal, Krystina Alabado, Hend Ayoub, Reggie Gowland, Nasser Farris and Reed Birney.
